Smoking Cessation Program

Description: Our Pharmacist and Health Educator participate in this program to aid patients on their quit journey by providing behavioural counselling, ongoing support, and Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT).

Services and Activities offered as part of this program:

• Patient-centred approach: to assist patients to quit or reduce their smoking using a tailored treatment plan.
• One-to-one behavioural counselling: including ongoing follow-up appointments up to 1 year, in-person and/or via telephone.
• Dispensing of NRT (patches, gum, lozenges, inhalers): tailored to patients’ individual needs for up to 26 weeks.
• Providing behavioural counselling: to patients who choose to use Champix (prescription from MD or NP) instead of NRT.
